Restaurant 'Chez Nicolas' - Delicious Italian food.

Chez Nicolas exists for more than 25 years. Pizza's and pasta's are savoury and come in large portions.

"Never ate such a big and delicious pizza… my favorite is the one with seafood and huge prawns. I can also recommend the meat with provincial sauce served with delicious pasta."

Restaurant Le Maquis de la Gare: Great sandwiches

This is a large place with a big terrace. Very usefull place to organise appointments. Located just in front of Central station it's impossible to miss it. The boss is Greek and is called Takis. Sandwiches are great but the other cooking is good too.

Restaurant ABC, Alliance Belgo Congolaise: A good place for sunday time

It's an open space inside, and the bar, the grills and kitchen are around. Open the whole week. Mainly visited by foreigners that work in Kinshasa. There is a european and african buffet for $14.

Restaurant Chateau Margau: The actual best of 2006

French restaurant with a nice open terrace. The food is excellent. One of the few places in Congo where you can pay with your Mastercard. Prices inside are considerably higher than when you eat on the terrace.

The mother of all Crawfish, cooked in a wonderful chile sauce.

Restaurant l'Orangeraie - Less than one hour at lunch time

It's one of the onely places in Kinshasa where you can have lunch in less than one hour. Every day you have the choice between 4 different meals which come with one glass of a local drink for $10. Personel is very correct. Around lunch time you might have a problem to find a place.

If you like an african breakfast just cross the street leaving the Grand Hotel. You'll find this beautiful and proud women serving you a delicious breakfast in a good atmosphere. Not to speak of the price
